Our marketing communications philosophy is this: inform first and sell second. We only want to create content that has value, not a bit of fluff that tries to trick the reader one way or another. After speaking to the reader’s intelligence, we then sell your product or service using creative ideas and power words, outlining benefits, and incorporating other marketing tactics such as search engine optimization and graphic design.

Sara Lancaster is the founder and primary writer for the No. 2 Pen. With a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Sara’s career has included work as a paralegal, marketing manager, and, of course, as a writer (both in journalism and in marketing/PR). Her diverse background brings a unique set of communication skills to each writing project she completes for the No. 2 Pen.
When Sara is not writing for clients, she is busy blogging for one of her own blogs. And when her fingertips are sore from all that typing, she enjoys walking her beagle, Moe, traveling with her husband, Jason, and swinging in a hammock with a new book.
