A Writer’s Book Recommendations
None of us are lacking in book options for our next read, but sometimes it’s difficult to filter through all the options on the shelf to find a book that will truly satisfy your reading desires. Bestseller lists are a good resource, but definitely not the only resource.
When in doubt, turn to a writer to tell you what’s hot and what you’ll like. Through the Blogathon I’ve found a few writer’s who do an excellent job highlighting new books from the latest and greatest authors. Check out these sites for some awesome book suggestions.
- The Writer’s Journey does a fabulous job interviewing authors about their writing style and background.
- A Traveler’s Library looks at everything travel — from books to movies.
- A Life Divided analyzes audio books in a way I didn’t know was possible. I think I might’ve overlooked these gems.
As for my favorite book … That’s tough to say since I don’t have favorites (I know, it’s weird). But I can tell you that I’m reading Fall On Your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald at the moment, and I also can tell you that I’m enjoying it thoroughly.
Along these same lines, I’ve added a link to my Amazon Bookstore to the links list down below. This is a pretty thorough listing of my recent reads and my all time most valuable writing resources too.

Hi from a fellow Blogathaner.
Thanks for the shout out for A Traveler’s Library. I’ve also talked about audiobooks there, and just finished listening to “Notes from a Small Country” by Bill Bryson. I checked the C.D. out of my library, and listened to it on a car trip, and then at home as I ate breakfast and lunch.
