Creativity Exercises for Better Writing
Any full time writer will tell you that some days they just don’t feel like writing. It’s not that we don’t like to write — we love to write! It’s just a realty all of us face in our jobs. Sometimes you want to use a different part of your brain to do something opposite of what you are trained to do and have done for the last 80 working hours.
That’s human nature. And it’s very healthy, I think.
There are days when I can write and write and write. Then other days when the last thing I want to do is think about an inverted pyramid or comma splices. As much as I love them, I just can’t dig deep and pull out those words like I could the day before.
