10 Blogs I Can’t Live Without
Today, as part of the WordCount Blogathon, I’m participating in the first group writing assignment of the month. The topic? The 10 Blogs I Can’t Live Without.
Blog #1 – Sporks
Thanks to the help from my husband, Jason, I started No. 2 Pen about two years ago. Without him and all he’s taught me as an entrepreneur and web marketing consultant, I’m not sure I’d be where I am. Thanks, Spork Marketing!
Blogs #2 and 3 – A bit of funny
There are several blogs I read that have nothing to do with business and nothing to do with writing. In fact, these blogs just make me laugh: Hipster Puppies and The Bloggess. You can’t work all the time.
Blogs #4 and 5 – Blogging advice
When I started out as a blogger, I consumed as much information as time allowed. The writers at Copyblogger and Remarkable Communication post incredibly valuable info on blogging, freelance writing, and on being a creative online business person. If you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend you do.
Blogs #6, 7, and 8 – My own blogs
I can’t imagine my life as a writer without my own blogs! Of course, there is this blog here at the No. 2 Pen where I’m able to talk about issues important to my clients, but there is also my travel blog, Our New Office, and my new food blog that I’ll be announcing soon.
Blog #9 – Networking that doesn’t suck
I’ve recently become more active on Biznik, an online and offline networking organization. The Biznik blog and the article library have become an important touchstone for me.
Blog # 10 – Grammar reference
As a writer and lover of words I often question grammar (no one’s perfect), which is why I saved this blog for last. The Grammar Girl blog just might be the one blog I can’t live without.

I agree about Copyblogger and the Grammar Girl blog; those are really helpful blogs for writers. I hadn’t heard of Hipster Puppies before, but I love the pictures! The one of the dog with a can of Sparks next to him takes me back a few years. Also, looking forward to seeing your new food blog soon. Thanks for the list!

You’re welcome, Jen. I’m mildly obsessed with Hipster Puppies, which is funny because I’m not even close to being a hipster.
