GE Stories: A Prime Example of Storytelling in Marketing
Stories sell. Don’t say, “My product is great.” Instead, tell a story that shows your greatness. To know what I mean, watch this video. It’s my favorite of all the GE stories.
GE totally gets how and why storytelling can benefit a business. The New York Times wrote about this way back in 2010, which is proof that GE has gotten it for awhile now. All businesses could benefit by following their lead.

I had to visit (from the blogathon links) when you mentioned GE commercials, because I love those commercials. Was watching the jet engine one the other day thinking what a good job GE does with this series of ads.

Hey Babette. I think the GE videos are awesome, too. Glad you stopped by.

The ad ran a little long, but I have to agree that the presentation method was highly effective. I think that what GE did here is a great example of making an emotional connection to their products. This approach could be used a lot more often.
